I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually proceeding.
